1. Dr. Yogesh Kapoor
LASIK/Cornea Consultant/Medical Director
MBBS, MSC in Ophthalmology
Dr. Yogesh received his MBBS and MS in 1993 from Agra University in India. He has more than 24 years of experience in ophthalmology and specializes in corneal, cataract and refractive surgery. During his practice, he had trained more than a hundred ophthalmologists from around the world in LASIK and phacoemulsification. He has performed more than 10,000 cases of Lasik, including complex errors such as high myopia and mixed astigmatism, and more than 2,000 cases of phacoemulsification surgery.
He has also performed more than 100 phakic lens (ICL) implantations for very high refractive errors. He has extensive experience in the treatment of corneal diseases such as keratoconus, corneal ulcers, viral and unspecified keratitis and corneal injuries. He has more than 60 eyes for the treatment of keratoconus with corneal collagen crosslinking (C3R / UVX). He is a registered user of STAAR ICL (Phakic Lens) for the correction of cases with very high myopia (myopia). He has successfully implanted these lenses in more than 100 eyes.
He was also a consultant for Biotech Vision Care Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, and was instrumental in developing and conducting trials for a Phakic lens that is now commercially available in India. He is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the All India Ophthalmological Society, the Uttar Pradesh Ophthalmological Society, the Gujarat Ophthalmological Society and the Ahmedabad Ophthalmological Society, of which he was treasurer from 2013-2014. He has actively participated in many Indian and international conferences.
He was part of the faculty in the state of Gujarat, and the Ahmedabad Ophthalmological Society organized conferences as well as conferences from renowned eye care institutions such as Dr. P.N. Nagpal's Retina Foundation. From 2014 to 2016 he worked as a LASIK surgeon in the United Arab Emirates for the NMC hospital. With his passion for building a state-of-the-art eye care service, Dr. Yogesh joined the Yateem Eye Center team in 2016 as medical director. He is significantly involved in the construction of the plant and strives to make the plant a pioneer of this kind on the UAE market. Dr. Yogesh is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Punjabi.
2. Dr. Ahmed Afra

Glaucoma, Cataract and General Ophthalmology
Dr. Ahmed Afra completed his MBBCH in 2004 from Tanta University in Egypt and from 2006 to 2010 he studied ophthalmology at Tanta Ophthalmology Hospital. In 2010 he completed his master’s degree at Benha University in Egypt.
From 2010 to 2014 he worked as an ophthalmologist at the Magrabi Eye Hospital in Egypt and from 2014 to 2017 at the NMC Hospital Al Ain. Dr. Ahmed Afra has been a member of the International Council of Ophthalmology throughout his career on various eye-related problems and operations performed, including cataract surgery through phacoemulsification, glaucoma surgery, pterygium surgery, and medical retina Dr. Ahmed Afra is fluent in Arabic and English.
